Workshops and Presentations
The Dig In! youth-led project built a participatory workshop on food sovereignty with and for people in communities across the country. The workshop activities are for everyone, from young farmers to urban youth to members of the general public.
Check out the Dig In! “Tool Kit” of workshop activities here!
Use the workshop to find out what “food sovereignty” means for us in Canada and around the world.
What do we mean by “food sovereignty”?: Basically, putting control of food back in the hands and bellies of people.
Food Sovereignty is a tool to help us understand the world around us, how food is produced, and how we can make positive change together.
Dig In! was a collaborative project of the Canadian Biotechnology Action Network, Check Your Head, and the National Farmers Union Youth Dig In! was supported by a grant from the Walter & Duncan Gordon Foundation.
The project has concluded but the workshop lives on!
