Private Member’s Bill C-291 would secure mandatory labelling of  genetically modified (GM) foods in Canada. Thank you for taking action to support this bill.

Private Member’s Bill C-291 was put forward by Member of Parliament Pierre-Luc Dusseault (Sherbrooke, Quebec). Bill C-291 is an “An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (genetically modified food)” and simply statesNo person shall sell any food that is genetically modified unless its label contains the information prescribed under paragraph 30(1)‍(b.‍2).” The bill leaves the specifics to be defined by the Health Committee and government.
